The Medicaid Process
The Sanford Company has entered in to a positive working relationship with the Division of Family and Children's services and ACS to provide each facility with a smooth application, acceptance and reimbursement experience.
Here is an outline of the process:
The Sanford Company collects:
DFCS caseworker OR the Facility's Financial Director as directed by the facility.
(If the financial director requests the forms to be sent to them then it will be the financial director's responsibility
to submit the forms to the designated DFCS caseworker)
The Sanford Company has entered in to a positive working relationship with the Division of Family and Children's services and ACS to provide each facility with a smooth application, acceptance and reimbursement experience.
Here is an outline of the process:
The Sanford Company collects:
- Insurance Application
- DFCS Form DMA 285 REV
DFCS caseworker OR the Facility's Financial Director as directed by the facility.
(If the financial director requests the forms to be sent to them then it will be the financial director's responsibility
to submit the forms to the designated DFCS caseworker)
The Case Worker enters the information into their database.
Eligibility is determined and the Nursing home liability for the resident is lowered.
A Summary Notification Letter (SUCCESS Letter) is issued. The Nursing Facility receives payment from Medicaid / Resident's Family less $65.00 / $95.00 depending on the Dental program selected. The Nursing Facility submits the $65.00 / $95.00 as an Incurred Medical Expense to Medicaid for reimbursement.
A Summary Notification Letter (SUCCESS Letter) is issued. The Nursing Facility receives payment from Medicaid / Resident's Family less $65.00 / $95.00 depending on the Dental program selected. The Nursing Facility submits the $65.00 / $95.00 as an Incurred Medical Expense to Medicaid for reimbursement.
